LS2 Reflective Cycling Jacket KickStarter
Riding a Bike Never Looked SO Good
The problem with many cycling jackets is that they do an amazing job on the bike but the moment you get off and go about your day you stand out like a sore thumb.
The main problems being:
- Lots of big bright branding (just in case you forgot who made it)
- Super techie robotic looking fabrics
- Big silver refelective panels & piping
Back in 2016, we at Resolute Bay began developing a very innovate material. Our goal was to create a outerwear fabric that would appear just like any other during the day light but then illuminate at night when riding the roads.
Once we had the fabric we then started work developing the design & fit of the jacket. At the end of 2017, we launched a small run of 40 reflective cycling jackets to our customers via our website (www.resolutebayclothing.com).
Using our customers feedback we made a number of changes to the design, fit and construction of the jacket. Creating what we believe is now the ULTIMATE jacket for cyclists. it’s 100% waterproof, reflective 360 degrees, has 2 waterproof zip side pockets, 1 back pocket, a detachable hood and is now available in 3 stunning colours.
Of course, this jacket isn’t just for cyclists. It’s also perfect for runners, dog walkers, outdoorsy-folk and anyone who likes being staying dry + being visible at night.

Timing and Process
All the tests have been conducted and the prototypes have been signed off. All we need to do now is give the factory the green light to start work. We understand how long the product will take to manufacture and when we will be able deliver it to all Kickstarters that wish to pledge and be one of the first to receive one of our new jackets.
How Kickstarter Works
If you have never used Kickstarter before, don’t worry, the simple diagram below explains the process, If you have any further questions you can also contact us on email@example.com
Exchanges - If when you receive your jacket it doesnt fit and you would like a size up or down, we will be more than happy to exchange your order.
Returns - If when yoy recieve your jacket and you do not like it we will be more than happy to give you a full refund.
Why We Are Using Kickstarter
The super technical factory that we have developed this jacket with require a high minimum order quantity to ensure the highest quality. So, by creating a Kickstarter campaign we are able to:
- Ensure there is a demand for the product to reduce risk
- We get to know which are the most popular colours/sizes based on your orders, and prevented wasting stock in future
- We get to pass on huge savings to our biggest fans (you!)
- Potentially raise more funds which means we can develop additional styles, colours and sizes
Risks and challenges
Resolute Bay have been producing commuter clothing since 2014 and have brought over 10 styles to market. The founder/designer, Chris Taylor, has 10 years of extensive experience in fabric design and manufacturing high-quality apparel. We have our manufacturers lined up, and our production team is waiting for our signal. We know what we're doing, and you should be confident that we will deliver what we promise when we say we will.
Supply Chain Risk: We're incredibly proud of our supply chain and have a lot of confidence that we can make what we say we'll make when we say we'll make it. But sometimes things happen, like fabric delays due to yarn being stuck in customs. We add time padding for these events, but sometimes it's not enough. If anything should arrive late we will get through it together.
We're deeply committed to and excited about delivering a high-quality product, on time, that we know you'll enjoy for a long time to come.
Thank you for your support! We are deeply grateful that you're on this journey with us!
